Terms
Last updated 4 September 2026
These are the terms for using Sonnify AAC while it is in testing. They are short because the beta is small. When the app launches, this page changes and the date at the top also changes.
Beta software, provided as is
Sonnify AAC is beta software. It will have bugs, features will change between builds, and a build may stop working when a newer one is out. We do our best to keep your data safe, and the app backs up to a file you keep, but you use the beta at your own risk.
Not a medical device
Sonnify AAC is a communication app. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and it is not a substitute for advice from a speech pathologist or doctor. Do not rely on it for emergencies.
Your speech is yours
What you say through Sonnify AAC is your own speech. We do not read it, moderate it, or claim any rights over it. Your phrasebooks, photos and history belong to you, on any plan, and you can take them with you as a backup or an export at any time.
Accounts
You never need an account to speak. If you make one, it is personal: one person, one account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your sign-in to yourself. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time, and the privacy page says what that removes.
Premium and billing
Everyone testing the beta has Premium included, at no cost, for the whole beta and for the first year after launch. After that your account stays, on the Free plan, with everything you made still yours. If you want Premium from then on, it is a monthly subscription billed through Kinde, our account provider, and you can cancel from your account page at any time. If billing runs through Google Play later, this page changes.
Acceptable use
Use Sonnify AAC to communicate. Do not use the AI assistant to produce abuse or harm, do not copy or extract the AI voices, and do not try to break into or overload the service.
Ending the beta or an account
The beta runs until we close it, and we will tell testers before it ends. Builds from the beta may stop working after that. We can close an account that breaks these terms. You can close yours at any time from inside the app.
The law and where it applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and any dispute is dealt with by the courts there. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Australian consumer law.
